David Hasselhoff returned to the role that brought him the celebrity in The Young and the Restless along with his daughter Taylor Ann. The Young and the Restless was first broadcast in late March 1973 on CBS.
Among one of the few TV series The Young and the Restless has succeeded in writing out almost all the original characters, replacing them with new ones. The Young and the Restless initially focused on two core families: the rich Brooks and the poor Fosters. All the original characters were replaced, with one exception: Jill Foster Abbott. Thus, new families were introduced, the Abbotts and the Williams. Other families also joined The Young and the Restless family like: the Newmans, the Winters, and the Fisher/Baldwins.
The only stable storyline in The Young and The Restless is the well-known feud between Jill Foster Abbott and Katherine Chancellor.
Since its beginnings, The Young and the Restless has won seven Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series. It is currently the highest-rated daytime American soap-opera.
Baywatch star, David Hasselhoff had the delight to accept the invitation to return on the sets on The Young and the Restless for the role of Dr Young which he had previously played in the years of 1975 – 1982. And for the joy to be complete, the actor was joined by his dauther in the role of a hospital nurse.
